I picked up my wisdom whilst threadhopping, over here. Hopefully this will help you! It takes a little bit of digging in your code, and don't change ANYTHING except what is mentioned here (I made that mistake, gah).

Heee, thanks - I got the layout from thefulcrum over at livejournal. It's kind of obviously for livejournal what with the 'friends' instead of 'reading', but eh, I'll fiddle with it when I have the time/energy.
